Is CBD (Cannabidiol) Legal?
Our CBD FAQ provides answers to common questions about CBD, THC, hemp, and cannabinoid products. As long as the CBD or cannabidiol, both comes from an industrial quality hemp plant, not a marijuana plant, and if that plant has less than 0.3% THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), it is legal at the federal level to both sell and use.
Although hemp is federally legal, we recommend that you check with your state before making a purchase. It’s recommended because all states have their own laws about CBD (cannabidiol).
CBD FAQ: Will Cannabis Stuff Get Me High?
Cannabis products can have different effects depending on the cannabinoids they contain. THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the cannabinoid primarily associated with intoxicating effects. Our hemp-derived products are formulated with hemp-derived cannabinoids and are labeled according to their cannabinoid content and applicable requirements.
What is the Difference Between Full Spectrum & Isolate?
Hemp contains a variety of naturally occurring cannabinoids and other plant compounds. Full-spectrum products contain multiple naturally occurring hemp compounds, while an isolate is designed to contain primarily one specific cannabinoid.
Full-spectrum products may contain cannabinoids such as CBD, CBG, and trace amounts of THC, along with other naturally occurring plant compounds. Isolate products are more focused on a single cannabinoid and are often chosen by people who want to avoid other cannabinoids.
Can I Find Full Spectrum Hemp in my Local Dispensary?
Most dispensaries carry medical and recreational marijuana products containing both THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol). They are forced through the local liquor licensing to sell products that contain a certain level of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Here it’s required to have 0.3% THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) or more.
Because of local regulations and laws, dispensary products are not likely to include any of the other healing properties.
Will I be able to pass a drug test?
If you are required to take a drug test, consider the possibility that full-spectrum hemp products may contain trace amounts of THC. Because drug tests can vary in what they detect and how they are administered, we cannot guarantee that using a hemp-derived product will result in a negative test.
If avoiding THC is important to you, products specifically formulated without THC may be a better option. However, no product should be represented as guaranteeing a particular drug-test result.
